🚀 Simplify your work by integrating Haufe Copilot via API

Usage Guidelines

Guidelines for using Copilot via API responses — answer integrity, retraining restrictions, and brand visibility requirements.

When integrating Copilot via API into your application, please follow these guidelines to ensure the best experience for your users and compliance with the terms of use.

Answer Integrity

Haufe continuously optimizes the AI models powering Copilot via API to deliver the highest quality answers based on expert content. We strongly recommend not altering or post-processing the API responses before presenting them to your users.

If responses are modified — for example by summarizing, reformulating, or selectively extracting parts — Haufe can no longer guarantee the accuracy and quality of the information provided.

Recommendation: Display the API responses as-is to benefit from Haufe's quality assurance. If you need to adjust formatting for your UI, avoid changing the actual content of the answer.

Retraining Restrictions

API responses must not be used for any machine learning purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Fine-tuning or training language models
  • Knowledge distillation
  • Building training or evaluation datasets
  • Any other form of automated learning from the response content

This restriction applies regardless of whether the model training happens internally within your organization or is carried out by a third party.

Brand Visibility

When displaying answers powered by Copilot via API, you are required to visibly attribute the content to Haufe. Users must be able to recognize that the answer originates from Haufe expert content.

Acceptable attribution includes:

  • Mentioning Haufe by name in proximity to the answer (e.g., "Powered by Haufe" or "Answer generated with Haufe expert content")
  • Displaying the Haufe logo alongside the response

Your account partner can provide the appropriate logo assets and branding guidelines.
